New varient of covid - 19 ' OMICRON ' is idendified by south african authorities and says its is very dangerous and the varient is found in South Africa , Hong kong , Botswana . The new varient formarly know as B.1.1.529 . The south african health ministry said in briefing that the varient so far has been found in Botswana , South africa , and Hongkong , from the traveller of returning from south africa . Ten cases of new have been confirmed . On thursday Many countries including india ban travelling through South Africa , botswana, Hongkong and started Strict screening .
